Health Literacy
Health information that is customized to meet an individual’s needs and delivered in a way that is clear can empower them to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. Health Literacy training equips health care professionals with the evidence-informed strategies that assist in effectively conveying health information to patients (or clients) in an engaging manner.
In this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of Health Literacy concepts including:
- Universal Precautions of Health Literacy
- Strategies for Providing Information and Advice
- Best Practices in Creating Educational Materials
Workshop developed by the Centre for Collaboration Motivation and Innovation and sponsored by the Self-Management Program Central East.
This workshop is offered as a full day in person workshop or online as two - 2 hour sessions held one week apart.
