Host a Workshop
Our workshops are community based and we are always looking for new venues and partnerships in the Central East region. You and your organization can become involved with the Self-Management Program Central East by hosting one of our workshops at your organization or community centre.
There is no cost to participants or the host site as part of the provincial strategy to prevent and manage chronic diseases. The Self-Management Program Central East will supply all workshop materials, help to promote the workshop and help with taking registration if necessary. We have trained Leaders in many communities who can facilitate the workshop. Alternatively, staff or volunteers from your organization can train as Leaders to deliver the workshop at your location.
Hosting a workshop requires:
- Free space that is accessible and accommodates up to 18 people
- Tables, chairs and flip chart stands
- Convenient parking, nearby transit is helpful
