Treating Patients with C.A.R.E. This workshop focuses on improving patient experience. During this workshop, a conceptual four-point model: Connect, Appreciate, Respond, and Empower (C.A.R.E.) is presented that can be utilized to enhance patient satisfaction, encourage partnership and transform “good” care into “impressive” care.
All members of the healthcare team are highly encouraged to participate in this course.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the four (4) components of the C.A.R.E. model of communication
  • Demonstrate two (2) C.A.R.E. skills
  • Describe how the C.A.R.E. model can be utilized to deliver impressive healthcare
This workshop was developed by the Institute for Healthcare Communication.
