Health information that is customized to meet a client’s needs and delivered in a way that is clear can empower them to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. Health Literacy training can equip health care professionals with the evidence-informed strategies that assist in effectively conveying health information to patients (or clients) in an engaging manner.

In this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of Health Literacy concepts including:

  • Universal Precautions of Health Literacy
  • Strategies for Providing Information and Advice
  • Best Practices in Creating Educational Materials
